We are honored to be working with Nadine and her partners at Springboard. She understands both personally and professionally the impact of disability on a person’s life and is committed to developing strategies to allow individuals to fully participate in the mainstream of society.
Description of Organization
The Hearing Loss Association of America is the largest consumer advocacy organization for people with hearing loss. The mission of the Hearing Loss Association is to open the world of communication for people with hearing loss through education, information, advocacy and support. The Hearing Loss Association has over 200 local chapters and 15 state organizations
Since 1979 the Hearing Loss Association has provided one to one support and information for people with hearing loss and their families. Local and national advocacy initiatives have resulted in greater awareness and accessibility for the 31 million Americans who face this challenge. The Hearing Loss Association publishes a bi-monthly magazine that goes into 18,000 homes and offices, and holds an annual international convention.
